His talk also features an in-depth look at plant varieties used in the gardens and a personal tour of his own garden in Delta, the Iris O’ Brien Garden, first created for the 2008 Bloom Garden Festival in the Phoenix Park, Dublin. Biography
Paul Martin – Principal Dip. Horticulture (National Botanic Gardens, Dublin). Paul Martin is the founder of Paul Martin Designs, a multi award-winning design studio who has worked with many prestigious clients on ground breaking projects. Paul is dedicated to combining an extensive knowledge of plants with a keen eye for sharp design. Paul has studied in the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin and has over 30 years’ experience in the field of garden design.
He combines his expertise in horticulture with high-technical skill in design implementation. His commissions range from private gardens to public spaces and his work is frequently featured in magazines and newspapers both in Ireland and abroad. With eleven gold medals to date, Paul is regarded as one of Ireland’s leading garden designers, with a growing international profile and current garden design projects in Ireland, the UK, Europe and South Africa.
